How Stripe Works on Mudiera

This guide explains the full flow in simple steps: connecting your business profile, completing onboarding in Stripe, accepting payments, and receiving payouts. Stripe handles verification and payouts — Mudiera never touches your bank details.

Step-by-step onboarding flow

Business Studio → Payment Connection

Step 1: Open your Business Studio and go to Payment Connection, then click Start / Continue Stripe setup.

Step 2: Mudiera creates or reuses your connected Stripe account and sends you to a Stripe-hosted onboarding page.

Step 3: In Stripe, complete identity checks, business details, and payout details.

Step 4: Return to Mudiera and click Refresh Stripe status to sync requirements and capabilities.

Step 5: Once status shows connected and charges enabled, you can start taking payments — through Bookings, Products & Orders, or Client Plans.

How payouts work

Stripe processes the customer payment and manages transfer timing directly to your connected account.

Payout schedules, bank account handling, and compliance checks are all managed by Stripe, not Mudiera.

If additional verification is required, Stripe shows that requirement in your onboarding and account status screens.

Use Open Stripe dashboard inside Mudiera to complete any pending requirements directly in Stripe.

Platform fee explanation

Mudiera runs two fee tiers on its own platform fee — this is separate from Stripe's own card-processing fee, which is charged directly on your connected account and was never absorbed by Mudiera:

Free plan: 3% platform fee. No monthly cost — you only pay this when you actually get paid.

Mudiera Pro: 1.5% platform fee. Half the Free-plan rate, plus the extra Studio tools (automated replies, Pipeline CRM, lower-friction booking management) that come with Pro.

Simple example on the Free plan: if a customer pays £100, Mudiera's platform fee is £3, and the remaining amount follows the normal Stripe connected-account flow to you. On Pro, that same £100 sale carries a £1.50 platform fee instead.

All calculations are handled server-side before checkout or payment confirmation, so there is never a surprise at the end.

Troubleshooting in one minute

Action required means Stripe still needs information. Click Open Stripe dashboard.

Connect button not working usually means a stale account reference — reconnect Stripe from your Studio.

Status not updated means you should click Refresh Stripe status after returning from Stripe onboarding.
