Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-20
This Refund Policy describes how refunds work for purchases made through Mudiera (operated by Mudiera Ltd), including marketplace orders and client package plans (weddings, events, and similar bookings with a deposit and balance payments).
Marketplace refunds
- Sellers set their own refund terms where permitted by law.
- If a seller has a stated refund policy, it applies unless it conflicts with applicable consumer rights.
When refunds may apply
- Item not received.
- Item significantly not as described.
- Duplicate charge or payment error.
How to request a refund
- Start by contacting the seller through the order details.
- If the issue cannot be resolved, contact Mudiera support with your order reference.
Client package plans (deposits and balance payments)
Some businesses on Mudiera use client package plans — a dated, line-itemed agreement for a single client (for example, a wedding or event booking) with a deposit collected up front and any remaining balance collected closer to the event.
- Deposits are generally non-refundable once a plan has been accepted and paid, as they reserve the business's time and resources for your date. A business may offer a more generous deposit refund policy of its own; where it does, that applies.
- Balance payments follow the same principle as deposits once paid, except where a flag or dispute (below) results in an amendment or refund.
- Flags and disputes: if you have a concern about a specific event or milestone in your plan, you can raise a flag on it directly from your plan page. The business will either resolve it, or resolve it by amending the plan (creating a revised version for you to review and re-accept). Raising a flag pauses that milestone's payment collection until it's resolved.
- Cancellations: if either party needs to cancel a package plan after payment, contact the business first through the plan, then Mudiera support if it can't be resolved directly. Refund outcomes depend on how much notice is given and the business's own cancellation terms, consistent with the deposit/balance principles above.
How amendments affect payment
If a plan is amended (through the flag-resolution flow or directly by the business), a new version is created for you to review and re-accept. Payments already made against the prior version are not automatically reversed — any refund or balance adjustment resulting from an amendment is handled between you and the business, with Mudiera support available if needed.
Payment provider rules
Refunds and chargebacks are also subject to Stripe and card network rules. If a payment is refunded or a dispute is resolved through Stripe (including disputes raised directly with your bank or card issuer), Mudiera reflects that outcome in your order or plan status automatically.
